Does the VP09 stop automatically?
Yes. Press the power button once to start the vacuum cycle. The machine automatically determines when the cycle is complete and stops automatically.
If you need to stop the machine before the cycle finishes, simply press the button again.
What does the digital display show?

How do I check the battery level?
Press and hold the button to check the current battery level on the digital display.
When should I recharge the VP09?
For reliable operation, recharge the unit when the battery level falls below approximately 20%.
How should I position the VP09 while sealing?
Place the sealer vertically over the Mason jar lid and press it down firmly.
Maintaining proper contact between the sealing ring and jar lid helps create a reliable vacuum seal.
Why isn't my Mason jar sealing properly?
First check the following:
- Make sure the jar rim and lid are clean and dry.
- Remove food particles, oil, and moisture from the sealing area.
- Check that the jar opening and lid are not bent or damaged.
- Make sure the VP09 is positioned vertically.
- Press the sealer completely down during operation.
- Do not overfill the jar.
- Keep liquid and food below the jar threads.
- Check that the sealing silicone is clean and undamaged.
Can I seal jars containing liquids?
The VP09 can be used with appropriate jar contents, but liquids must never be allowed to enter the vacuum sealer.
Do not fill the jar completely. Leave adequate headspace below the jar opening and make sure the jar rim and lid remain clean and dry.
Vacuum sealing does not replace proper refrigeration, freezing, water-bath canning, or pressure canning when those food-safety methods are required.
Can vacuum sealing replace home canning?
No.
Vacuum sealing removes excess air from a container but does not heat-process or sterilize food.
Foods that require refrigeration, freezing, water-bath canning, or pressure canning should still be stored or processed using the appropriate food-safety method.
Can I put the VP09 in the dishwasher?
No.
Do not immerse the product in water or place it in a dishwasher. Wipe the unit clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Can I wash it with hot water?
Do not clean the product with water above 60°C / 140°F.
Can I use damaged Mason jar lids?
For best sealing performance, use flat Mason jar lids and jars that are clean, flat, and free from visible deformation or damage.
